Newsreels and home movies tell the stories of J Boats Weetamoe, Yankee, Ranger, and Endeavour Il, and portray ocean racers Dorade and Mystic Seaport's own Brilliant, all filmed during the lively and competitive yachting seasons of the 1930s.
A period newsreel film has been preserved to show us a glimpse of the famous race of 1937 between the J-Boats Ranger and Endeavour II. Vessels of the day and Newport in the '30s allow us to step back in time
